HISTORY of the Model: *i quote what an Ebel Expert told me about this watch: " Yes, the Modulor used the caliber 137–it was the first to do so, starting in 1995. You can tell by looking at digits 2-4 of the reference number—that is the caliber number in the old Ebel coding. The Modulor was only manufactured in 95-96. The Le Corbusier family asked Ebel not to use that name after the model came out, and Ebel complied for later batches. After that, it was simply the Chronograph. Thus, the specialty parts in the movement would all have been made by Lemania. In 95-96, Lemania and Ebel were under the same ownership umbrella. It was after 1999, when Lemania had been sold to Swatch, that Ebel started having Dubois Dupraz make the specialty parts when stocks ran low.
