Nr. 84261319
Nr. 84261319
Very nice screen print, on BFK Rives paper. Very good printing quality, with beautiful colors and a white underlay, which gives the colors an extra bright appearance.
The work is signed in the print and annotated in pencil at the bottom right '3. 150 Edition, 15, 4-'85 S.F.'
Posthumous edition after a work by Patrick Nagel. When Playboy published its 'Thirtieth anniversary' issue, it contained an entertaining article by Anton Chekhov. Patrick Nagel illustrated this article with ten women's heads. Sensual, provocative and typically 80s. Eccentric hairstyles, big earrings, lots of make-up. After his death in 1984, these illustrations were used for these screen prints. Patrick Nagel was an American artist and illustrator. He created popular illustrations on cardboard, paper and canvas, most of which emphasize the female form in a distinctive style descended from Art Deco and pop art.
The work is in very good condition. Will be shipped in a tube.
