Ghitor – gold watch – 1950s
This watch is equipped with a hand-wound ETA 980 movement – Produced in Switzerland in the 1950s.
During its time, this movement was one of the finest produced in Switzerland and was used by prominent brands.
As you can see from the photos, Ghitor not only produced the movement, but made the casing as well, with their logo stamped on the caseback.
The watch is offered in excellent aesthetic condition – Just a light discolouration on the dial is the only noticeable sign of age, everything else is perfect.
The watch is in perfect working order.
The casing measures 25 mm in diameter (this was a large size for the time) – The gold weight is about 4 grams.
The watch strap is green crocodile leather, 18 cm in length, with a 14 mm lug width.
