Designed by Peter Behrens for AEG, which has produced these types of toasters from the 1930s to the 1950s Together with the other design (model 247400 with the oval tabbed figures), this belonged to the top range of the collection from AEG. This solid stainless toaster is working well and complete, and comes with matching grounded cord. When one side of the bread is toasted, open the cover and the sandwich turns on its own, then close the lid to toast it further. Operates on 220V, 450 Watt, with mica plate inside with round led work light thread. His staff included Walter Gropius, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Charles-Édouard Jeanneret (later known as: Le Corbusier), all of whom later would acquire great fame.
