Achatit vintage wall mask of a woman
This German – partly hand-made - mask was made in the Achatit Werkstätten between the years 1950-1959.
Achatit is a composite substance (protected brand name) made from crushed stone and wood with a binding substance that is made in a plaster mould.
After staining, polishing and finishing, the material has a characteristic gloss that gives the mask depth and relief.
The company specialized in pseudo art-deco women masks and children's images.
In beautiful condition apart from two minimal ' surface abrasions' on the back where the mask was hung against the wall.
The height of the head is 24.5 cm, the width 15 cm and the depth 14 cm.
In very good condition.
The photos are an integral part of the description of this lot.
The sculpture will be perfectly packaged and sent by insured (up to € 500) and registered mail.
