Rivarossi H0 - 1337 - Steam locomotive with tender Series 231.E 'Chapelon' of the SNCF. Company number: 3-1173. Tested and working. The SNCF Series 231 E was a French steam locomotive with the nickname "Chapelon" named after the French railway engineer André Chapelon. It was one of the best express train locomotives in France. The locomotive was built in 1912 for the railway service between Paris-Orleans. As a result of the successful construction of these locomotives according to the design by André Chapelon in the 1930s, the Compagnie du Nord also ordered such conversions. The locomotive was rebuilt in 1934 in the PO-workshops in Tours. In 1936 after the sale thereof the No. 3.1188 was given to it on the northern railroad. After the merger of the SNCF these locomotives were classified as the Class E 231. The photos form an integral part of the description of this lot. Locomotives have a one-month warranty after purchase. If found to be defective within 1 month it can be returned free of charge within the Netherlands All packages will be sent by registered and insured mail

The SNCF Series 231 E was a French steam locomotive with the nickname "Chapelon" named after the French railway engineer André Chapelon. It was one of the best express train locomotives in France.

The locomotive was built in 1912 for the railway service between Paris-Orleans.
