We believe the word barn find is invented in the United States So where can you find a better barn find than in the United States. The car comes from the 1st owner. The chassis is in a good condition with some surface rust only. The body has been painted only once and is therefore sleek and neat, there is, however, a very small damage on the front. I have never seen such an original Djet, all original details are present and it has never been restored, and is still as the factory has built it. Unfortunately, the engine and gearbox are missing, but these are standard Renault parts and thus not hard to find. It hasn’t been driven in 40 years and therefore the odometer reading of 35.000 km seems original. The original US title and bill of sale are present with the car. Only about 1700 Djets were produced by René Bonnet and Matra and it is known as the first manufactured car with a central engine (mid-mounted engine). So, this is a rare car in and in a much rarer condition. This is chassis number 10215. Many parts are readily available through the club RBMS, both NOS as well as new production. The car can be viewed and picked up in Wieringerwaard, North-Holland, the Netherlands.
