Rare Lambretta LD125 with sidecar. Lambretta and Vespa are the most famous scooter brands from Italy. Lambretta made a total of more than 1.5 million scooters between 1947 and 1972. Of course in all kinds of models. The brand was very popular in the 50s and 60s. The Lambretta D and LD 125 were built between 1953 and 1958. They had built 500 units by late 1958. The model offered here is from 1958. It is a rare model with sidecar. Only 50 of those were built, there are about 20 left in circulation. The scooter is in original condition and has spent its entire life in Spain. The scooter was imported into the Netherlands in 2016 by a collector of Lambretta scooters. The collection is now being sold due to illness of the owner. The Lambretta was technically completely overhauled in 2016, all tyres were replaced. Three pieces plus 2 spare tyres. The scooter runs well, without smoke. The 3 steering gears shift well. The brakes are perfectly fine. It has some minor paint damage throughout as pictured, although no rust formation. The chrome on the steering and on the headlight rim is in very good condition. The aluminium front bumper on the front fender was repaired in the past, not done very nicely.
