DETAILS: Rare Carrera Porsche Design folding aviator vintage sunglasses from the 1980's. Shiny gold plated metallic frames. Reference: 5622 42 (not visible). Serial number engraved inside left side temple (see photo): 83AH4142. Large size (140mm wide at hinges). 65mm lens width, 5mm nose bridge and 120mm temples length (from front corner to back tip). With light purple gradient lens engraved PORSCHE DESIGN and PD logo outside left top corner. Metal hinges. Nose pads and ear protections in light brown translucent plastic. Supplied with Carrera Porsche Design original and dedicated soft case in black leather or leatherette and zipper with PD logo raised on handle, as shown. Sunglasses made in W.Germany. All original and authentic. All pictures are of the actual item. CONDITION: Excellent vintage overall - minor and very acceptable wear marks and no flaws. Frames and temples have only microscopic scratches and marks here and there, not obvious at all, very shiny and polished. No dents, nicks or scuffs. No cracks or deformations. No wear/ brassing to the gold plating. No oxidations. No repairs. Original shape and alignement is preserved. All hinges well adjusted - tight, stiff and moving smoothly. Original and usual reference and brand engravings (inside temples) probably lost over the years, not recognizable. Lenses have microscopic and very light scratches all over outside, from regular use (see last pictures). Inside better with a few micro scratches, probably from cleaning. No hard scratches/marks overall. No nicks or scuffs, no chips or cracks. Vision is probably perfect. All perfectly clean. Case is perfect with insignificant wear and no flaws.
