Wonderful and very rare watch issued to Dutch soldiers at the start of WWII. The watch is made by the prestigious brand Universal and has all features of a military watch. It features a black dial, Arabic hour markers, radium-filled luminous plots and hands, solid lugs and separate seconds. The small W has a crown, which was the military sign under the reign of Dutch Queen Wilhelmina. The watch has a chromed case with a diameter of 30 mm. Chromed cases were used throughout these years as steel was scarce and these watches were being created with the intention of them lasting for years. Due to the quality of the mechanical movement, it will run perfectly after a full servicing. The watch comes with a green Nato strap, which can be adjusted up to a wrist size of 20 cm.
