Beautiful authentic Art Deco / Amsterdamse School mantel clock, design of Johannes Bosma and produced by AWU Holland. This is an electrical version, with a clockwork of Nedklok. One of the cords is loose. Because of this I have not been able to test the clock. The clock itself is made of brass and bronze. Beautiful design of the stylized buck, the numbers on the dial and the stylish metal curl. Condition: in accordance with age and use. Patina of the deer somewhat irregular. Working unknown. Some oxidation on the dial. See the pictures to get a full picture of the condition. Johannes Bosma (Skasterlan 1879 - Amstelveen 1960) was a Dutch sculptor, engraver, designer and draughtsman. Together with P.G. Florack he was the founder of N.V. Metal Foundry Bosma and Florack in Amsterdam. Nowadays we know Johannes Bosma mainly of the stylized animal figures on wooden bases and the Art Deco clocks.
