Functioning well and in good condition: a very unique and even rare desk lamp, extendable and flexible, by industrial designers Dieter Rams (1932) and Andreas Hackbarth. This desk lamp, model "Rha 1", was designed in 1981. Model "Rha 2" was designed in 1984. This is the only lamp they designed for German manufacturer Tecnolumen. These desk lamps are no longer being made. The aluminium arm can be positioned in various was by pulling the grey block, in which the arm is mounted, slightly backwards. Is included in the lot. Background information: From 1947 to 1953, Dieter Rams (1932) studied architecture and interior design at the Wiesbaden Arts and Crafts School. In 1955, he began working for Braun GmbH, a German company manufacturing small electric devices, where he soon became head of the product-design department. Dieter Rams has also been a professor at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts since 1981. He is regarded as one of the most well-known industrial designers of Germany and as one of the greatest representatives of functionalism. Dieter Rams has won countless awards in the field of design.
