A model ship reproducing the “La Couronne”, the first ship entirely designed and built in France. Its launch was the crowning achievement of the efforts of the Cardinal Armand Jean du Plessis, Duke of Richelieu, which in 1627 concentrated the various French maritime jurisdictions in his own hands. Richelieu assumed the position of Grand Master of the Navigation keeping it until his death in 1642. This minutely finished off model ship with all the different materials needed and totally handmade is a beautiful decorative and collectible object. The dimensions refer to the model alone, which weighs 2 kg, while the base weighs 2.5 kg. There are signs of wear on the left side of the keel. Being a delicate item we would prefer the buyer to pick it up in person, if this is not possible we will send a quote for the requested destination.
