This Beetle is in its original factory colours (L456 Ruby Red) with vinyl interior. He has always been in Tuscany, originally sold in Florence and still having its original first registration document, original license plates, use and maintenance manual with the warranty card, double keys and tool kit (jack, Hazet bag). Options of the time: backward reclining seat mechanism for long journeys, steering lock, luggage rack under dashboard. In addition, this is exactly the original "Herbie" model from 1963, produced only in that year with the typical "nasino" rear license plate light. It is registered at the Italian Volkswagen Register and belonged to a Club vice president who found it in a garage in the Chianti region and restored it with love and passion a few years ago (see photo). During the restoration, the engine was replaced with a new rotation one from factory and from the same 1192cc series, without numbers (the original number is though known through the car warranty booklet - see photo). It has only driven 3000 km and runs well, also starting at first try. A car with a docile and snappy driving. New LUK clutch disc just installed. The restoration of the body is still in excellent shape with few signs, as well as the chrome and interior. The feeler gauge test showed no major incidents. The brakes have been recently overhauled and everything is efficient. The 6V electrical system works well. Enthusiasts consider these Typ11 cars the best ones of the whole series in terms of driving experience, with a solidity not comparable to the subsequent series and, for this specific specimen, its complete and original story: this is what makes it a rare collector's item. Periodic inspection regularly passed since the first one in 2009! La latest one was passed in May 2019 (expire date MAY 2021).
