Sawyer's (View-Master) Stereo Color Camera
View Master camera by Sawyer it is a stereo colour camera in excellent condition, with original box and instructions, of course it works.
View-Master is a stereoscopic view system invented by William Gruber and marketed by Sawyer’s Photographic Service in 1938. The system includes: a stereoscopic viewer, the discs feature 7 pairs of stereo slides, projectors, cameras and other devices for viewing or shooting stereoscopic images. The View-Master was the first 3D view system to use a cardboard support, the View-Master reels, for 7 pairs of colour stereo slides. The camera for sale is a View Master Stereo Color from 1951, made in Germany under license of Sawyers Inc. in Portland, U.S.A. Pair of lenses Trinar 20 mm f.2.8 Rodenstock, shutter with fixed shutter speed at 1/125 and B mode. Mount for synchro X and synchro M, variable diaphragm with simplified table on the front of the camera. Shutter charging and film advance with the same push lever, shutter release button on the front next to the right lens, threaded hole for the use of the shutter cable for long exposures, manual reset frame counter. Interesting film advance system that makes the film slide horizontally to the plane of the camera back and that produces two frames of 12x13 mm at the same time: this system is necessary to produce the offset that will allow a correct vision once the two small slides are mounted in the circular viewing container.
