DIP'S Diest | Emaillerie Koekelberg - 1964 - Emalje
Rare, hand painted advertising sign from the earlier DIP'S factory in the Belgian Diest.
This enamelled board was attached to the homes of customers as a landmark.
Made by Emaillerie Koekelberg in 1964.
Signed: E.K. TPB (Taxe Payée Bruxelles) 141/9/64.
The DIP'S fodder plant in Diest (Belgium) was a subsidiary of Koudijs Veevoeders from 's-Hertogenbosch. In December 1968, it was decided to continue the Dutch-Belgian cooperation under the name of “Koudijs Veevoeders N.V”.
DIP's stems from the Peeters miller family. This family history goes back to the beginning of the 19th century. Until the early 1960s, the family business was operated by Henry & John Peeters. DIP'S is short for the first names of the founders.
