This beautiful, large sculpture stood in a church in the province of Antwerp ( Belgium) for many years. This sculpture is exclusive because of its beautiful detailing and the beautiful painting. Pay particular attention to the very serene and natural facial expression. Saint Joseph has a wooden halo with the inscription "H.Joseph pray for us / H. Jozef bidt voor ons" in the left hand a wooden cross staff with a carved Corpus Christi. The painting on the clothes is beautiful and well preserved. The bottom of the sculpture is closed with a wooden plank for attachment on a pedestal. The colour difference on the photos is due to the light. Due to the heavy weight and size, the sculpture can only be picked up in Izegem.
