Emile Bruchon was a student of the famous French sculptor Mathurin Moreau and made both sculptures and decorative objects, in bronze and zamak.
Émile Bruchon was a French decorative artist known for his lamps, clocks and bronze figurines. In all his works he often chose to depict historical or mythological figures. Little is known about his life, except that in the 1880s he exhibited in the Salons of Paris and that he was active about 1880-1910.
The statue is on a pedestal with plaque with the inscription "Phebe par Bruchon". Bruchon signed on the statue.
