Timeless high-quality designer classic, designed in the mid-1970s by Peter Ghyczy and manufactured in his own studio. A thick glass tabletop resting on cast brass legs. Is in very neat, used condition. Architect and designer Peter Ghyczy left Hungary after the Hungarian Revolution, and after spending some time in Germany he founded his own company in the Netherlands. In 1971, he presented his first independent furniture collection. It was based on legs and frames made of brass cast in sand which were clamped and screwed to the glass tabletop in innovative ways. The designs by Ghyczy combine Bauhaus minimalism with exotic Art Deco patterns and details from ancient Egypt. The legs of the table feature the Ghyczy logo. Delivery in consultation (heavy table!)
