Glazed ceramic vase by Luciano Florio Paccagnella, made around 1990. Paccagnella is a hero of the Memphis Group, he was discovered by Matteo Thun after his studies at the Brera Academy in Milan and was introduced to Ettore Sottsass. A partnership was born between them, Sottsass considered Paccagnella's work very good and considered him one of the best designers in Europe. Paccagnella was inspired by the geometric shapes and pop colours of Sottsass's Yantra vases and then created his line of vases with exceptional geometries and colours. All of Paccagnella's vases are made and painted by hand and then glazed. This vase measures 38 x 25 x 19 cm.
