Tintin - Dédicace Hergé with captain Haddock - [70s]

Unique and extremely rare dédicace by Hergé probably from the 70s, but possibly earlier. Format 5 x 13 cm. Hergé especially created this pretty elaborate smoking Haddock with a special greeting, for Tom Gutt. Such a dédicace has not been previously reported. Hergé usually created the heads of Tintin and Bobbie as a dédicace. This is a (one-off?) Exception. The dédicace contains the following text: "A Tom Gutt, Cordialement, Mille Sabords!" (For Tom Gutt, Greetings, Thousand bombs!) Drawings of Hergé are priceless. This is a unique opportunity to get a hold of a drawing by Hergé. The drawing was made for the album "Coke en Stock" in 1958 and is a first edition. The album is in fair condition. Tom Gutt is a Belgian writer and publisher, born in Woking (England), July 2nd, 1941. Tom Gutt is the grandson of the Minister of Finance Camille Gutt. In 1945 he returned to Brussels. He is regarded as the most representative and active writer of the second generation of surrealism in Belgium, he died in Brussels on 11th May, 2002. Hergé and Tom Gutt wrote an article together in the magazine Le Vocatif 1979 Les exploits the Quick et Flupke.   See also: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Gutt
