Stunning original Lithograph produced in conjunction with the iconic paper cuts that were the last project by Matisse before his death in 1954. Commissioned by the Publishers Teriade, the Lithographs were printed between 1954 -1958. A small number of the images were printed before his death and were signed in the stone, but most were printed posthumously and were thus unsigned. Matisse oversaw the printing of the images by the famous Merlot Freres and personally chose every colour. Blue Nude ii is a Lithograph 35cm x 26cm. The image is in excellent condition, but there are light creases to the top right corner and bottom left corner.
