Magnificent rare antique figurine of a Great Dane dog with pointed ears, made by Gebruder Heubach, in pristine condition.
The Great Dane is seated with front legs and paws outstretched, wearing a molded chain collar and delicately shaded painting of greys.
Brothers Georg Christoph and Philipp Jakob Heubach (Gebrüder Heubach) bought a running porcelain factory in 1840 from Wilhelm Liebmann in Lichte (Thuringia), Germany and produced porcelains until 1937 when the factory was closed.
It is in pristine condition, Like New Never Used, marked on the back of the base with the blue “sunburst”/“fan” stamp used between 1840 - 1920, impressed marked and numbered #1348 on two of the paws, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see the pictures as they are part of description.
