Medieval Crusaders Era, bronze ring with oval shaped bezel decorated with a rare Anchor Cross. Plain ring band.
Outside diameter: ± 24,8 mm
Inside diameter: ± 19,2 – 20,7 mm
Bezel: ± 12 – 13,4 mm
Condition: good solid condition, wearable. Signs of wear consistent with age and use. See images.
The anchor cross is also referred to as the 'Cross of Hope' or a 'Mariner's cross'.
The anchor was an early Christian symbol, it is commonly found in the Roman catacombs as a symbol of hope.
