Icon of the Mother of God with the Twelve Apostles, an exact copy of the 9th century famous icon of Mount Athos, known as "Axion Esti". Made in limited edition in 1987, after the permission of the Holy community of Mount Athos. Further more, it is blessed in this Holy Monastery. The icon is very beautiful, very well preserved and in very good condition. Silver-plated and gold-plated, excellent work with beautiful details. The wood is covered in the back by a burgundy velvet. Large size, 31,5 X 22,5 X 1,5 cm. Several stamps of authenticity and quality. A stamp certifies that the icon is blessed in the Holy Mountain. The original icon was made in Constantinople and from the 10th century stands in the high place of the altar of the main church of Karyes on Mount Athos. The Virgin and Jesus are in the center and the twelve Apostles are around them. In the upper part of the icon, two angels are seen placing a crown on the head of the Virgin.
