A late Ming period dish, Tianqi period (1620-1627) for the Japanese Market. So called Ko-Sometsuke ware or "Old dyed Blue and White".
The dish is decorated with a rocky outcrop with plantain leafs and flowering prunus branches a island with a pagoda on the right and a full moon surrounded by swirling clouds.
Copper red underglaze decoration was notoriously difficult to fire correctly and often misfired.

Dimensions: W20,6 x H3,4 cm
Condition: In very good condition! Only minor wear and desired mushikui or ‘moth-eaten’ edges and kilngrit stuck to the base and a little in the center.
