Item Description: This bronze statuette, crafted with meticulous attention to detail and form, is the work of Masahiko Katori, a born artist in 1899 who achieved the prestigious status of a Living National Treasure (Ningen Kokuho) in Japan. Katori Masahiko was a master in metalworking, graduating from the Tokyo School of Fine Arts in 1925 and gaining international recognition early in his career by winning a bronze medal at the 1925 Paris Exposition of Decorative Arts, also known as the "Art Deco Expo." The figure's dimensions, with a width of 13.2 cm, a height of 7.5 cm, a depth of 13.2 cm, and a weight of 779g, portray a compact yet powerful presence.
