These cards commemorate events during the 1987 season, as well as players and pitchers of the month from each league including a small Roberto Clemente puzzle. Card fronts are similar to the regular 1987 Donruss issue except that the Highlights logo is positioned in the lower right-hand corner and the borders are in blue instead of black. The backs are printed in black and gold on white card stock. This set includes many players in the National Baseball Hall of Fame, HOF.
