● In September 1963, the Skyline 1500 (S54 model) was launched based on the concept of a fast small car.
The following year, the Skyline 2000GT was developed for the 2nd Japanese Grand Prix in 1964.
Its mission was to show the world the high performance of the "SKYLINE G". The high performance of this car was proven by the battle between Toru Ikuzawa's "SCA-G" and Sokichi Shikiba's "Porsche 904," and its popularity continued to grow.
In February 1915, the Weber 3 carburetor became standard equipment, earning it the caption "a wolf in sheep's clothing. Prince Motor Company merged with Nissan Motor Company, and with minor changes, the car was officially renamed the Nissan Prince Skyline. Then, in August 1968, the car was fully remodeled.
