Created in Japan, A Bathing Ape, its full name, is the baby of Nigo, the current artistic director of Kenzo. A fan of the collaboration, Nigo decided to join forces, at the end of the decade, with another Japanese giant: Sanrio, the company behind Hello Kitty, to celebrate the latter's fiftieth anniversary. She is the one who will revamp the gorilla which serves as BAPE’s mascot. Baby Milo is born and attaches himself to clothes which, like everything Nigo touches at the time, are torn off.
