In the 1960’s, he studies with Lajos Kassák, the father of the Avant-garde movement in Hungary, learning non-objective painting based on ‘free form’. In 1967 after Kassák’s death, he travels with his widow across Western Europe meeting Carl Laszlo in Basel, Victor Vasarely in Paris and Max Bill at the constructivist biennale in Nuremberg. Fajó began leading workshops and teaching in the 70’s and 80’s at the Pesti Műhely, the Józsefváros Gallery, and the Academy of Applied Arts in Hungary. In the last twenty years, Fajó has become one of Hungary’s leading contemporary artists. He has shown in over 50 solo and 100 group exhibitions in Hungary, Sweden, Switzerland, Poland, Austria, Germany, France, and Italy. He has numerous collectors and is in museum collections through Europe.
