Kabuto (samurai helmet) crafted in Japan.
It's traditionaly bought when a son is born as a protection item.
On May 5, during boy's day (Kodomo no Hi 子供の日), such type of item is put on display to remind the spirit of Samurai and Bushido 武士道 (way of the warrior) so as to bring fortune to male children.
These helmets were made in various sizes, including very small miniatures.
Dimensions (approx) : 36cm wide, 43 cm high and 30cm deep.
There is as well the helmet stand which is the red and yellow cushion.
It's a very beautifull high quality decoration item.
