DETAILS: This is a NOS (new old stock or store demo new) and vintage piece for collectors, nice finding in this condition, however with few slight ageing marks (read below). Ray-Ban Round Metal from the Classic Collection aviator sunglasses. Bausch & Lomb USA production, probably from the 1980's. Reference: W2248 XWAW (engraved inside temple tip). Silver plated frames with the fine pinpoint etching all around. Standard size (50mm wide lenses). 19mm nose bridge. 130mm temples length. TOTAL WIDTH FRAME (outside hinges): 129 mm With original B&L gray green neutral lenses mirrored in Silver, polycarbonate. Original nose-pads in clear plastic engraved "BL" inside. "B&L RAY-BAN USA" engraved behind nose bridge. Both lenses etched BL outside near hinges. Ray-Ban signature in silver on right lens. Original ear-protections clear plastic engraved W2248 XWAW and "CE". Made in USA. All original and authentic. No case supplied, sorry. However, see detailed pictures, especially last ones: there are few tiny spots of oxidation to the silver plating here and there only on temples (front frame free), all common from about 40 years time and storage - acceptable in my opinion and not so noticeable, even giving the piece a nice vintage patina finish and looks. Otherwise, Perfect mint overall frames & lenses with absolutely no more signs of wear and no flaws. Lenses are mint all over. No scratches, no nicks, scuffs, cracks or chips. Frames with no deformations. Crisp engravings. Original shape and alignment is preserved. Hinges well adjusted - tight, stiff and moving smoothly. Screws nearly unblemished. Perfectly clean.
