This beautiful, heavy quality vase in double-glass crystal with cranberry overlay was designed in the 1950's by Charles Graffart for Val Saint Lambert in Belgium. This hand-made faceted design incorporates large and small diamonds which sparkle in the light. A panel of small diamond shapes is encased in a Gothic surround. The vase stands 23cm. high and is 16cm. diameter with a sturdy base of 11cm. Crystal made by Val Saint Lambert has a lead content of approximately 33-40%, higher than the legally determined 24%. This extra lead content gives the piece a gorgeous quality and clarity which is clear to see with this beautiful vase. The vase is signed on the base "Val St. Lambert" and an original Val Saint Lambert sticker can be seen on the front.
