Galvanized metal support on which the world has been carefully assembled. An integral brass precision compass with brass top is incorporated into the bottom of the bracket to complete the world. Each country is inlaid with a different stone, and the stones are individually cut and ground to achieve intertwined and smooth shapes and play into this exquisite work of art with care and attention to adjacencies. The elements of the world are created from lapis lazuli, mother of pearl, amethyst, African jade, tiger's eye, jasper, turquoise, purple quartz, onyx, unakite, abalone, green marble and many other beautifully colored and richly veined stones.
