Hot Wheels, Mattel 1:64 - Modellbil - Hot Wheels Daniel Arsham Eroded Deora II & Porsche 356 “Bonsai” Speedster

Mattel Creations partnered with Daniel Arsham to curate a series inspired by Hot Wheels and the mutual love of car culture. 1) Hot Wheels x Daniel Arsham Eroded Deora II (Shipping box is open - the core box is sealed) The Deora II reimagines one of the Hot Wheels “Original Sweet 16” castings released in 1968. A millennium’s rigours have been applied in Arsham’s vision, but its identity remains as an artefact of southern California surfing car culture. Inspired by a sample of patinated bronze from Arsham’s foundry, the car’s Silkstone material enables the fusion of antique and contemporary aesthetics. ■ Features: Crystallized erosions ■ Body Color: Arsham Bronze ■ Body Type: Silkstone ■ Chassis: ZAMAC ■ Wheels: Bronze patina Real Riders 5-spoke classic wheels ■ Scale 1:64 2) Hot Wheels x Daniel Arsham Porsche 356 “Bonsai” Speedster Daniel Arsham owns a Porsche 356 Speedster, and over two years, he stripped it to its barest, time-worn essence. Deeply influenced by Japanese culture and the concept of wabi-sabi – finding beauty in transience and imperfection – Arsham also upholstered the vehicle with indigo-dyed fabrics featuring boro patchwork sashiko-stitched lines. Mattels' version of the “Bonsai” Speedster faithfully replicates the welding lines and weathered aesthetic Arsham created, including the vintage “BONSA1” license plate. ■ Body Color: Weathering effect to match ZAMAC colour ■ Body Type: ZAMAC ■ Chassis: ZAMAC ■ Wheels: Real Riders deep dish wheels with wash/wipe weathering effect ■ Window Color: Clear ■ Interior Color: Plastic replica of the 1:1 version’s indigo-dyed Japanese textiles ■ Scale 1:64
