Yamazaki Bourbon Barrel 2011 Japanese Single Malt Whisky 48.2% Vol. - one of only 1.000 bottles for the English market and rarity from the limited cask edition of Suntory Yamazaki The Yamazaki Bourbon Barrel Release 2011 Single Malt Whisky matured in 180 litre casks in which old Bourbon whisky was previously stored. This version, with the slightly increased alcohol content of 48.2% vol., was bottled in an edition of only 1.000 bottles exclusively for the English market. The Suntory Yamazaki Bourbon Barrel Single Malt Whisky is made from the finest and most original ingredients and the 2013 vintage was awarded the gold medal at the International Spirits Challenge 2014. Ingredients that are transformed into a wonderfully harmonious single malt during the distillation process. For example, its soft water comes from the springs of the Hakushu River and the wood in which it matures comes from ex-Bourbon casks, giving it wonderful and unique notes of tropical fruits, vanilla and apple pie. This special single malt whisky is meanwhile sold out worldwide, is one of the coveted cask edition bottlings of Suntory Yamazaki and is hard to find today.
