Vase - Bronse, Kalebassformet kobbervase - Takaoka Copperware - Japan (Ingen reservasjonspris)

This is a gourd-shaped vase by Geni Futakami 二上元威 of Takaoka Copperware. The surface of the vase is deeply textured. Depending on the lighting, it may appear blackish, but it is primarily brown in color. The ability to create such a shape in a copper vase is a testament to Geni Futakami's skill. Geni Futakami (also known as Jotaro Futakami) is an artist of Takaoka Copperware. He studied the technique of casting molds under his predecessor, Geni, and became independent at the age of 17. He devised his unique wax molding technique by adding wax model technology to the traditional lost-wax casting method. Geni Futakami's works include incense burners, incense holders, braziers, stationery, and more.
