Porselen, Bizen Yaki 備前焼 - En løve som huker seg med et veldig kraftig uttrykk - Shōwa-periode (1926 – 1989) (Ingen reservasjonspris)

This is a Bizen ware lion figurine. The lion has a very powerful expression and appears to be crouching while alerting to something. However, it also has a somewhat charming expression. Made with the characteristic brown clay of Bizen ware, it exudes a nice antique atmosphere with a worn feel. Additionally, while there are some scratches, abrasions, and wear overall, I believe it's in relatively good condition. Bizen-yaki 備前焼: Bizen ware is a traditional Japanese pottery known for its rustic appearance and coarse texture. These pieces are characterized by their unique texture and patterns, which are created through combinations of clay, glazes, and firing techniques. Yuishi Inada is renowned for his distinctive artistic style, where he applies his own techniques and expressions to Bizen ware. Bizen-yaki is a type of pottery made in and around Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture. It is one of Japan's six ancient kilns and has a history dating back a thousand years. Bizen-yaki pottery is formed individually from high-quality clay, then dried and fired without any painting or glazing. The unique appearance of Bizen-yaki is created by the fusion of clay and flames, resulting in primitive and richly beautiful patterns on the surface known as "yohen." The absence of glaze gives Bizen-yaki its distinctive rustic appearance. Fired at temperatures exceeding 1,200 degrees Celsius for about two weeks, Bizen-yaki has a higher strength compared to other ceramics. Hence the saying, "it won't break even if thrown." Height 18.7 cm Width 17.8 cm Depth 19.0 cm Weight 1500 g Condition: Overall condition is good. However, there may be slight scratches, dirt, peeling, rubbing, etc. This is an item kept at home. I have included many photos, so please take a look. Atention: The items listed for sale are all used collectibles. Please consider them to have signs of aging, such as stains, scratches, scuffs, tears, discoloration, fading, fraying, and changes in thread color. We will post as many photos as possible to make it easy to understand. As these are old items, we appreciate your understanding before making a purchase. Shipping: The lot will be carefully packaged and shipped from Japan. We will use either DHL or FedEx for a safe and secure transportation. It usually takes about 2-3 weeks for delivery, and the package will be shipped with a tracking number.
