Hand-coloured plates. It appears that the spine has been at some time repaired and strengthened; couple of small old splits to spine are still showing. Bookplate to front endpaper. All plates are present. Some plates have foxing to edges, but most are just browned. Foxing to some page margins. He was interested in all aspects of the society's activities, but first and foremost he was interested in ornithology. He contributed a number of articles to British natural history journals such as The Zoologist and North Western Naturalist. This is a heavy book.
