The Maison Louis Latour owns a nine-hectare plot on the Corton hill, in a perfect position, halfway up the hill and with south-east exposure. The grapes are harvested by hand as late as possible in order to guarantee better maturation. This is followed by meticulous destemming and a 3-week maceration during which numerous punchings are carried out. Aging lasts approximately 18 months in barrels produced in the estate's cooperage, 30% new. The wine is powerful and expresses rich aromas of lemon and tropical fruits. On the palate it is very intense with a large sip and fine aromas, embellished with mineral notes. Very persistent, it needs refinement of about five years in the bottle before reaching full expressive maturity.
