A folding chair, designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli Italy, model Plia. An Italian classic!
This chair is on permanent display in the MOMA, Nee York and has won the Gute Form prize in Germany in 1973.
A special feature of the folding chair is the hinge with three discs, which was a durable feature. The seat and back are made of lightly tinted plexiglass and the chair has a frame of white coloured metal. Folded, the chair is 89 x 46 cm and only 6.5 cm deep
The chair is in a good condition, if you zoom in, I am sure you will discover some traces of use but nothing serious. The 4 feet are intact.
