Oremus is a symbol and example of the reward of time, of experience and knowledge, of true know-how in the art of wine.
Only in excellent years, when the harvest of noble grains is especially abundant, is the natural essence exuded by the noble grapes collected drop by drop and then converted into Oremus Eszencia, a wine of legend and mystical secrets.
The Oremus Nectar, born in the Oremus estate, stands out among all the Aszú wines. It is a drink of incredible richness, which nothing can match in the world. It has a low alcohol content (1 to 3%), since the amount of sugar concentrated in it is not enough to ferment, so a residual sugar of 500 or more grams per liter is not at all unusual.
The Aszú berries are picked one by one. Let's not forget that each grape harvester will collect between 5 and 10 kg of grapes per day. The berries are left to rest for 15 to 20 days in the Oremus winemaking warehouse, and their quantity gradually increases until the end of the harvest. During those days the slight pressure exerted by the weight of the grains causes the extraction of the must contained in them.
After that time, the must is taken to 50-liter glass containers where it will undergo a very slow fermentation. After 2 years it is transferred to 68-liter barrels called "átalag", where it will continue to be refined. Finally, it is aged in the bottle in a process that may even last several decades.
