Varietal: Tinta del Pais. Vineyard: Low production vineyards, selected in the Páramo de Corcos area (Burgos) and in Soria. The Burgos vineyards are located in the towns of Moradillo de Roa, Fuentemolinos and Castrillo de la Vega, at more than 900 meters above sea level on sandy loam soils with pebbles on the surface and layers of clay in depth. In Soria, they are located in the area of San Esteban de Gormaz, on ferrous clay soils at an altitude of almost a thousand meters. Harvest: Manual harvest between October 7 and 29. Pickup and transfer to the warehouse in small trailers. Preparation: Fermentation and maceration in 15,000 kg vats, at 28ºC for 3 weeks, with minimal intervention and pumping over. Aging: 14 months in French and Eastern European oak barrels of various uses. Degree: 14% Vol Tasting note Visual: Purple cherry red color, with a high layer. Nose: Attractive nose with lots of fruit and licorice, combined with the notes of its aging. Mouth: Full-bodied, but silky and friendly, with perfectly polished tannin and a pleasant finish, with memories of black fruit and undergrowth.
