The Macallan Fine Oak atrple Cask represents a transgressive commitment by the Macallan distillery to wood, and how the action between wood and time shapes this whiskey, emblem of the Macallan company. Macallan 12 Year Old Triple Cask Whiskey Dark straw color. The nose is complex, with hints of vanilla, melon and lemon zest. The palate is balanced with citrus flavors of lemon, vanilla, light notes of toasted oak and nutmeg. Persistent finish with memories of melon, papaya, fresh oak and spices transmitted by the oak. Triple Cask Matured 12 Years Old was previously called Fine Oak 12 Years Old and offers the same extraordinarily smooth and delicate yet complex character with a new name, new bottle and bold new packaging. It is made from a trinity of spirits individually matured in sherry-seasoned European oak barrels, sherry-seasoned American oak barrels, and former bourbon-containing American oak barrels. Once filled, the spirit ages undisturbed in the same barrels for twelve years. Please note some wear on the box.
