Sturdy German Kienzle regulator wall clock, oak veneer with 8-day mechanical clockwork, year circa 1920. Beautiful model, hand-carved with small ornaments. The clock is in an excellent condition with the normal, non-disturbing traces of wear. The clockwork has the following characteristics: RAR, S 9/60 engraved, 43 01 / 104. The large resonance box creates a warm bim-bam strike with reverb. The clock strikes every half hour and on the whole hour. The number of strikes on the whole hours is slightly disorganised, but can easily be reset. This is very common following transport. It is good to mention that these clockworks originate from one of the oldest clock makers in Germany, namely Kienzle wurde 1822 in Schwenningen am Neckar als Deutsche Uhrenfabrik vom Uhrmachermeister Johannes Schlenker gegründet. Weight 6.5 kg, height 75 cm, width 34 cm, depth 17 cm, diameter dial 25.5 cm, Arabic numerals and with original winding key. In the back panel are two screws used to hang the clock perfectly level on the wall. The bottom window is made of some sort of stained glass with a beautiful star.
