This very special and very rare vehicle is a 1982 Delta Mini Cruiser Diesel. Built by the Philippine Delta Motor (which produced licensed Toyota models), this small but efficient off-road vehicle is an original product and not a copy of a model of the Japanese manufacturer, looking rather like a small-scale Land Cruiser BJ. The mechanical base is by Toyota, the diesel engine is a very robust two-liter Isuzu. The Delta Mini Cruiser was introduced in the 1970s to equip the Philippine army, then marketed in civilian versions in pacific, Middle Eastern and some South American states. In Europe it officially arrived only in Italy (about 500 were sold) where it was imported by the Turin-based Plan Motor Italia and distributed by the organization Gandin Auto. The proposed model (frame RJ-2B00-00133) was registered with license plate TO X47184. It looks like an excellent restoration base, absolutely original in every detail and working, with a healthy structure and no signs of accidents. It was used and maintained with great care, the owner cancelled the registration on September 1, 1992 from the Public Registry only to avoid diesel and off-road taxes. This Delta Mini Cruiser was then put back into a covered, dry space and its engine periodically restarted. Everything works quite well, the engine runs very well but a general setup will be required before a new registration; the bodywork is quite tidy, the paint shiny, with a little rust affecting the back. The interior is in order, currently the original hardtop in fiberglass, available bow, rear doors, bullbar and a back seat. We recommend to view the vehicle in Giaveno before bidding.
