Lamborghini 1 R - 1964 “approved double seat”. Twin-cylinder model from the new series produced since 1961, chassis derived from the 2241R with new FL2 engine (aluminium alloy heads). Lamborghini FL 2 engine: 4-stroke diesel cycle - direct injection - 2 cylinders. Transmission: 2-wheel drive - single plate clutch - gearbox with reduction, 6-gear transmission and 2-reverse gears. Brakes: hydraulic (last year of production of hydraulic brakes: 1964). This tractor was restored without overlooking any detail and paying meticulous care in the assembly of every component. It is probably one of the best Lamborghini 1R tractors on the European market. Found in the countryside of the Valpolicella wine area (Verona), in poor condition but complete with every part. The investment, which lasted 6 months in 2020, was significant because we wanted to offer a niche product that will increase its value over time, also thanks to the distinguishing feature of the double seat that is approved in the registration document. Body and chassis were sandblasted and treated with epoxy primer. The sheet metal parts, such as mudguards, bonnet and seats, have been processed and straightened without the use of fillers and coated with two layers of paint in original Lamborghini colours for a high gloss. Each embossed inscription or number was finished by hand. The mechanical parts were fully overhauled and restored for optimal compression, the injection pump and gearbox bearings were overhauled. The hydraulic brake system is fully functional, with new pistons and master cylinder. The electrical system was rebuilt retaining the original button scheme and improving the current flow from the dynamo to the battery. The Smiths gauges are original and in working order, the hours shown are those it had when it was found, before restoration, after which it was only used for tuning and one-hour trips to the workshop.
