Auto Union 1000s Year of manufacture: 1963 Originally delivered in Belgium. Extensively restored over a period of 7 years. Restoration completed in 2019. The car was disassembled completely. The body was completely sandblasted and treated with 2k epoxy primer. After this, the entire body was painted with 2k paint, including the bottom (see photos). The chassis was sandblasted and powder-coated in black. The engine has been completely overhauled. New ball bearings. Cylinders honed and new piston rings installed. Completely new diaphragm clutch. New master break cylinder Callipers and brake cylinders overhauled. Fuel tank painted with 2k paint. Seats and back seat newly upholstered. - New headlining. New carpet, including in the trunk. Bakelite steering wheel and console repainted. Parcel shelf reupholstered. Chrome completely renewed. Re-chromed at Tolenaar. Stainless steel exhaust system. Many rubbers have been renewed.
