Comtesse Lafond is owned by the famous winemaking baron De Ladoucette, also known for wines like Grand Regnard, Pic 1er, Baron de L etc. Baron de Ladoucette named the Champagne & castle after his beloved grandmother, Comtesse Lafond. This bottle - Private Comtesse - as the name suggests is mainly produced for the private events of the Baron (weddings, birthdays,...). As such, the bottles are almost impossible to find for the public (the bottle isn't even mentioned in Wine-Searcher). The Private Comtesse 2005 has matured for many years in the freshness of the cellars in order to gain complexity. A limited dosage allows it to maintain its freshness and balance.
